I am so freaking excited about this. I am a HUGE fan of The Last Podcast on the Left as it ticks every single box for me – horror, true crime, creepy pasta hosted by 3 of the funniest, rudest, most juvenile yet knowledgeable guys around.
RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE!
Henry is by far the most comical of the bunch and his impressions, characters, accents and anecdotes have been known to make me properly Laugh Out Loud whilst walking down street like a freaking weirdo …
So, without further ado, I present to you … Mr. Henry Zebrowski …
What is your favourite horror movie? (I love slasher movies like Scream and Halloween.)
My favorite horror movie of all time has to be The Texas Chainsaw Massacre because it is perfect. The characters are family which is nice and the atmosphere is absolutely 100% bone chilling. And it’s gorgeous. Best horror movie all time.
Who is your favourite horror character from fiction, and from real life (it can be a factual figure who is very interesting to you if you don’t have a ‘favourite’. Mine is a mixture as I find Jack the Ripper fascinating.)
From fiction my favorite horror character is Baron Vladimir Harkonnen from the Dune series. He is crafty and philosophical. And he loves boy flesh! From real life my “favorite” scary character would be Carl Panzram. They don’t make’em like that anymore!
I got into Wicca when I was at university. I have mainly left it all behind, although certain aspects still interest me. How and when did you get into Satanism?
I got into Satanism because I was raised Catholic. I was already leaning towards the tenets of Satanism because I remember reading them on an AOL chat forum. Then I met Shane Morton and Vii Kelly (Special Effects Team for Your Pretty Face Is Going To Hell) They indoctrinated me into ritual magic and Shane was the first person to put The Satanic Witch by Anton LaVey into my hand which helped my career immediately (true!). I have been a proud Satanist ever since.
Do people tend to have preconceived perceptions about you before they actually meet you because of the podcast? (i.e. do they think you’ll have a pentagram tattooed on your head and start screaming about magik and serial killers?)
I think most listeners think that I am short, loud, reek of weed and spit a lot when I talk and I try to never disappoint people.
What are your favourite things to discuss on LPOTL? (I really like the Hard Hitters and Creepy Pasta.)
I love aliens and esoterica. Those are my favorite. But I understand some people are not like me. The Heavy Hitters series are where I can have fun with a bunch of characters so that’s an immense joy for me.
Marcus is very knowledgeable and Ben keeps it all on track (sort of). But it is your comic genius that sets the show apart from all the other horror/true crime shows out there. Why do YOU think LPOTL is so very popular? (I have been walking along listening to it on my headphones and am literally crying with laughter. It is so very funny.)
That is very nice of you to say! I think we were just the right assholes at an unfortunately correct time.
Have you written any horror, either your own Creepy Pasta, short stories or screen play?
I want to write horror! When we take a break from touring I plan to dabble more in horror/sci-fi./
If you could star in any type of horror movie, what would it be about and who would be your top choice co-star?
I want to be in a movie about defeating Reptilians with Nic Cage. That’s it. Hands down.
Thank you so very much Henry for taking time out of your very busy schedule to answer these for me.
And Marcus with the lovely infectious laugh is found on Insta
